Online Safety February 2025

 

 

Reception have been learning about how to stay safe on the internet. We looked at 'Buddy the Dog's Internet Safety' story and enjoyed learning Buddy's song to stay safe when online. The children then sequenced the events on what to do to stay safe when using the internet.

 

Mental Health Week 2025 

 

 Reception children celebrated Children's Mental Health Week  by completing lots of activities to help regulate our emotions. We got together with our buddies in Year 3 and decorated stones with positive quotes and pictures. The children then had some calm time with their buddies in which they spent some time reading together. Over the course of the week, we looked at the story 'The Colour Monster', we completed work on what we do when we feel a certain way. The children have produced some lovely writing on this!  We also made some 'sensory bottles' that we can use when we are feeling dysregulated. The children chose what to use in their bottles from glitter, pipe cleaners and beads - we had lots of fun making these!
