Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is funding from the Government allocated to schools for each child who is entitled to a free school meal (FSM), to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for a FSM and those pupils who are not.
There is no set guidance on how this funding should be allocated and as schools are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made, they are able to determine their own priorities and decide how the Pupil Premium should be spent. Schools are accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families and are required to publish this information online.
